Dear ICF Our church is growing and growing – at the beginning of this year 2300 people came to the Celebrations on one weekend, now 2500 people are coming! Each week we celebrate Jesus though worship, we have the possibility of getting together, bringing our VIPs to church and experiencing God. Each person who comes to our celebrations is important to us and we hope that people will be changed and will take their place in society and church with an excitement for life. Thank you for all you have invested in the past half a year. Without you this church would not be!
We wish you relaxing summer holidays! Yours Susanna and Leo
About ICF Zurich NewsletterEvery month the ICF Zurich Newsletters appears with information, current articles and news from the ICF church. From now on the newsletter from Rapperswil and Winterthur will be integrated in the newsletter from Zurich. You will also be able to read interesting articles from the areas of Acts and the Movement. Newcomer
Nadja, how did you get to know Jesus and what has changed in your life through this? “The belief has been part of my life for years. Time and again a person came up to me and told me about Jesus. But I didn’t want to have anything to do with it. At the toughest point of my life I lived with my mother. Through her example of faith I found my way to Jesus. The relationship to God gave me enough self-confidence to go to a clown course in Lenk a few weeks later. Through this a dream came true!”
What do you work as and what is your passion? “I work as a social worker for youth but my passion is the circus and dancing!“
”Friends took me along to ICF. All the young people and the way the Celebrations were held really impressed me. I especially appreciate is the modern interpretation of the Bible that speaks into my personal life. I have felt welcome from the very first moment on.”
What makes you excited about your life with Jesus? “I hope I will experience the life in fullness with Jesus, which he promised.”

News from the ACTS foundation: GOOD JOB
The internet plattform GOOD JOB has started up. In a short interview Nicolas Schmid will explain what GOOD JOOB is and what it wants to do. He is the leader of JOB SEARCH and initiator of GOOD JOB.
What does GOOD JOB want to do? Nic: “GOOD JOB wants to connect, integrate and support people in the business world. This platform creates a network between businesses and non-porfit oganisations, which AGREE with the fair play regulations in the job market, all over Switzerland.”
What is GOOD JOB? Nic: “We are a professional job portal networking all over Switzerland, which is not profit oriented but offers the services free of charge. We give people searching jobs personal advice that is free of charge, so they can discover their calling and potential. We put fair play first and also expect this from the advertisers and the applicants. GOOD JOB is a network and a platform for partners with similar ethical and moral principles.
What is behind the platform GOOD JOB? Nic: “GOOD JOB developed out of the area of JOB SEARCH from ACTS foundation Zurich. JOB SEARCH advises encourages and actively helps in searching a job. JOB SEARCH especially tries to help people who have been without a job for a long time, who no longer qualify to receive unemployment benefits and graduates from schools and apprenticeships, to be successfully integrated in the job market. JOB SEARCH gears its areas of advice to current social relevant topics, for example COLOURBLIND for foreigners graduating from schools who see themselves at a disadvantage in the search of an apprenticeship.” Look at the homepage: www.good-job.ch!
Statement “Through the advice from ACTS I once again have a perspective, a job. My life has become more stable and quieter and this calmness has especially made me content. I want to thank the ACTS team for the helpful conversations and the active support.” Daniel Wolf
ICF Rappi – a growing church! The number of visitors of the celebrations is continually increasing and also more and more youth and children are feeling at home here. From the beginning Claudia Stump has been successfully leading the Chinderexpress for Rappi. Also her husband,Marcel Stump, has been working in the Chinderexpress. They will be leaving Rappi as of October and will turn to a new commitment in their hometown in Buchs SG. Thank you for all you invested! Now we are looking for a new leader for the. We want to create a possibility for the youth to meet outside the celebration to enjoy community and activities with others of the same age. We dream of an attractive and dynamic group which, though its passion, has a multiplicating effect on the area of Rapperswil.
Location Winterthur: Danny Gassmann new leader
Since a few weeks our celebrations in Winterthur have taken place the the cinema Palace. The new location offers many possibilities and is very central. The reconstruction of the old cinema has started. At the same time we have reinforced the team in Winterthur. Since end of June, Danny Gassmann (leader of the zwänzger) is the new location leader. He is in charge of Josia and Daniela Pantli. Their commitment for the first year is over and they are deciding whether to continue working in the Danny’s team. It is wonderful that in this past year we have grown to about 80 celebration visitors and that we have found a good location. Now we believe and pray for further growth in Winti. In Spring 2010 Danny’s team will be strengthened by a further couple.
ICF Emmental - "1 church 5 locations"
I was moved, when Konrad & Andrea Blaser spoke on stage last Sunday night. 15 people met in a living room somewhere in the Emmental (Swiss Alps) eight years ago. The vision was clear; to build a church at the heartbeat of time. It is important to know, that the Emmental is spread out over a big area with lots of villages and small towns. They all have there own characteristics and keep to themselves. This is why the church started in the centre of the region (Hasle) with weekly celebrations. The church has grown to 3 celebrations with over 200 people every Sunday. Two years ago the “next step” was prepared. Nobody knew at the time what the “step” was. Now it is clear! From June on ICF Emmental will continue with their Sunday morning celebration in Hasle, but will also go on TOUR to 4 new towns (Langnau, Burgdorf, Huttwil, Konolfingen) in the region every month. With this concept ICF Emmental will become one church with 5 locations. I am inspired by the courage to change the routine in order to reach more people. Thank you Andrea & Konrad Blaser for setting an example of “All in”.
